Support of novel medical technologies
Novel medical technologies developed during the last decades make it possible to cure many grave diseases, congenital disorders and injuries that had previously been regarded as virtually incurable.
There are no countries where high-tech medicine can exist without private sponsorship and charitable support. State-of-the-art treatment methods are so expensive that state budgets and insurance companies often cannot cover their full cost.
Although budgetary financing of the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital has recently been covering an increasing part of expenses on the patients' treatment, novel high-tech methods are not yet financed by the state budget.
Implementation and then routine use of state-of-the-art medical technologies mean an attempt to help hundreds of patients. This task can now be solved only with the help from sponsors and charity organizations.
